You can find our shop on the second floor of the Gold Souk mall. We are over in the C Block section of the building. Sushant Lok 1 is a pretty popular neighborhood, so the mall usually sees a lot of people, especially when the weather is bad outside. Our shop is not the biggest one in the Souk, but we focus on exactly what the name suggests. The glass cases stay filled with different types of links and circular designs. We spend a good amount of time every morning polishing the glass because people are always leaning on it to get a closer look at the items. The mall lighting is very bright, which is helpful for seeing the small details on the metal work. It involves a lot of standing around and waiting for people to wander in. We keep a small radio tucked in the back for some noise when it is quiet. Working on the second floor is actually a bit better because it is less frantic than the ground level. The security guards who walk the C Block are all friendly enough. We have our small tools for sizing and minor repairs hidden away under the main counter. Sometimes we grab a quick meal from the food court if we are having a long day. It is a decent place to be. We do not have a big marketing plan; we just keep the shelves full and talk to whoever stops by.
