Dev Trading Company

Being right opposite the Power House on N. H. 8 in Manesar means things are always moving. The highway noise is just a constant background for us at Dev Trading Company. We’ve been operating from this spot for a while, and it’s a lot of loading and unloading. Manesar is mostly factories and big warehouses, so we are right in the thick of it. Most days start early before the traffic on the highway gets too bad. We deal with various items, mostly moving goods from one place to another. The office is small, mostly filled with ledgers and some old furniture that’s seen better days. It gets dusty because of the road, so we’re always wiping things down. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to keep things organized and get people what they need. Sometimes the electricity goes out—ironic since we're right across from the power house—and we just sit and wait for it to come back. We know the tea stall guy nearby pretty well. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking stock. Nothing too glamorous about it. We just show up, do the paperwork, talk to the drivers, and make sure the trucks are headed the right way. It’s a bit chaotic at times, but that’s just how trading works in this part of town. We’ve stayed here because it’s convenient for the routes.
