You can find us over at Plot No 6 in Section 5. It’s a straightforward location for a company like Bucher Hydraulics. We deal with hydraulic parts and systems, which means there’s usually some fluid or heavy components lying around. Our building is like most others in this section—sturdy and functional. We don't have a lot of decorations on the walls. Mostly just calendars and some old safety posters. The day starts early here, usually with a quick meeting about what needs to get done before the afternoon. It's not a place where people wear suits. We're in work clothes because things can get a bit dirty. The rhythm of the work is steady. We spend a lot of time checking valves and seals. It’s meticulous work, but we’ve done it so many times it feels like second nature now. There’s a small break room where we eat lunch, usually brought from home. We don’t have any big slogans or fancy promises. We just show up, do the work, and head home to our families. Some days the phones don't stop ringing and other days it's quiet enough to hear the birds outside. We’ve been at this plot for a while and we’ve seen the neighboring businesses change, but we just keep doing our thing. It’s a simple operation run by people who know their way around a hydraulic pump.
