We’re out here at Plot No. 73 in the Kadipur Industrial Area, just off Pataudi Road. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but it’s where all the auto part makers are based. Our building is a plain grey structure with a big gate. Inside, we have various sections for different parts of the manufacturing process. There’s a lot of clanking and banging going on all day long. We make components for cars and trucks. It’s precision work, even if the building looks a bit rough around the edges. We have a few delivery trucks that come in and out every day to drop off materials or pick up finished goods. The loading dock is always busy in the afternoons. Our team is mostly guys from the local villages and some who moved here for the work. We don't have a cafeteria, so everyone brings their own tiffin and eats together under the shade of the trees outside during the lunch break. The office is just a small room with a couple of desks and a lot of paper files everywhere. We don't spend much time on the computer unless it’s for billing or taxes. We’d rather be on the shop floor making sure the parts are coming out okay. The road outside can be quite bumpy, especially after the rain. But we’ve been here for years and we’re used to it by now.
