Raaga Id Cards

You can find us right near Ganesh Studio at Park Center in Macherla. Raaga Id Cards is a small shop, maybe smaller than you would expect. We have a few machines for laminating and printing plastic cards. It is mostly just me and a helper here most days. We spend a lot of time cropping photos and making sure names are spelled right on the badges. It can be tedious work, especially when a school sends over a list of five hundred students all at once. The shop gets pretty warm in the afternoons because of the heat from the lamination machines. We usually keep the door open to catch whatever breeze comes through Park Center. There is always a lot of foot traffic outside, so we see a lot of people passing by. Our counter is usually covered in sample cards and order books. We do not have a fancy website or an automated system. We just write everything down in a big ledger and check it off as we go. Sometimes we run out of the specific plastic ribbons we need and have to wait for the bus to bring a new shipment from the city. It is a local business, through and through. We know the teachers and the shop owners around here who need cards for their staff. It is simple work, but it keeps us busy and connected to the people in Macherla. We just do our best to get the cards out.
