Amaravathi Imports

Down in Brodipet, Guntur, life moves at a certain speed, especially around the markets. Amaravathi Imports is located right in the thick of things. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or checking lists of what’s coming in from the ports. The office isn't much to look at, just a couple of desks and a lot of files that should have been put away months ago. Guntur gets incredibly hot in the summer, so the fan is always running, even if it just moves the warm air around. We handle a lot of different items, and sometimes the paperwork gets confusing, but we manage. People think importing is all about travel and big deals, but mostly it’s just checking boxes and making sure the crates didn't get wet. We have some good guys working here who know the local roads well, which helps when we’re trying to move stuff through the Brodipet traffic. It’s crowded and noisy outside most days. We drink a lot of coffee from the shop around the corner to keep going. We don’t have a big corporate story. We just saw an opportunity to bring things in and sell them to local shops, and we’ve been doing that ever since. It’s just a regular way to make a living, and we’re glad to be part of the community here in Guntur.
