M.K.Bhandari Hospital

We are located at the ACC Colony at Wadi Junction in the Chitapur taluk. M.K.Bhandari Hospital is a local place. Being near Wadi Junction means we are very close to the railway lines. You can often hear the trains passing by while we are working. It’s a sound we have all gotten used to over the years. The hospital isn't a massive skyscraper like you see in the big cities. It’s a more grounded building that fits into the ACC Colony surroundings. We see people from all over the Chitapur area. Some come in because they live nearby, others are just passing through the junction. It’s a busy environment but not in a corporate way. It’s more of a community feeling. We have our daily routines with the patients and the staff. We don’t have a polished front desk with people in suits. We have nurses and doctors who are just trying to help people feel better. The weather out here can get very dry and dusty because of the industrial nature of Wadi. We just keep the floors clean and the rooms ready. Working at a hospital means there isn't much downtime. We don't talk about missions or visions. We just talk about who needs medicine or who is going home today. It’s a very practical existence in this part of Karnataka. We’ve been part of the landscape here for a good while at Wadi Junction.
