Smarty Telecom

Over in Greater Noida at A S Market, shop number 41495, that is where we set up our telecom business. It is a modern enough market, but it still has that local feel where people stop to chat while they are out shopping. We deal with mobile phones, mostly selling handsets and helping people with their connections. The shop is brightly lit so the phones look good in the display cases. We spend a lot of time explaining different features to people who aren't really sure what they need. It’s not a huge place, just a counter and some shelves for the boxes and accessories like chargers and earphones. Sometimes the shop gets crowded when a family comes in all at once, and we have to ask people to wait a second. We try to keep things simple and not use too many technical words if we can help it. The floor gets a bit muddy when it rains outside, so we keep a mop handy. Our routine is pretty much the same every day—open up, check the stock, and help whoever walks through the door. Being in Greater Noida means we see a mix of students and families. We usually have a small radio playing in the background to keep things from being too quiet when there are no customers around. We are just a small part of the A S Market, doing our work.
