If you’re looking for us, we’re right in front of the Main Dadri Road in Surajpur. The landmark everyone knows is the Arya Ara Machine next door. You can usually hear the sound of the wood being cut while we’re working inside. Shiv Home Goods isn't a large supermarket; it's just a local shop where we stock things people need for their houses. We’ve got stacks of plastic chairs, mops, and kitchen containers everywhere. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough floor space to walk, but we manage. The road outside is always dusty with trucks and cars going past, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the display items. It’s a lot of work keeping things presentable for the people who stop by. We start early, usually before the morning rush gets too heavy. My cousin helps me out during the weekends when families come by to pick up things for their new apartments nearby. We aren't trying to do anything fancy here. We just buy what we think will sell and hope the weather stays clear so people can shop easily. On slow afternoons, we sit out front and watch the traffic. It’s a noisy spot but it’s home for the business. We know the regular customers and what they like. It’s just a normal shop run by normal people trying to make it through the month without too much trouble.
