Kailadevi Stone Impex

Out here in Tigri, things move a bit differently than they do in the city. We are tucked away near the Sai Baba Mandir, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find Kailadevi Stone Impex for the first time. Being in Gautam Budh Nagar, specifically in the Bisrakh tehsil, means we are a bit removed from the main city rush, but we stay plenty busy. The village and post office are right nearby, so we know most of the people who live around here. The yard is where we spend most of our hours, surrounded by big blocks of stone that have come from all over. It’s a bit of a trek for some to get out here, but once you’re here, it’s quiet enough to actually think. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone to answer the phones with a script. Usually, it's just one of us wiping sweat off our foreheads and checking the inventory on a clipboard. The stone business is very physical. Your hands get rough and the boots wear out fast on the gravel. We’ve been at this location for a while, and the neighborhood has grown up around us. Sometimes we watch the devotees going to the mandir while we’re unloading a fresh shipment. It’s just a regular place doing regular work. We try to keep the slabs organized, though with the amount of weight we move, things tend to get a bit cluttered. It’s not perfect, but it’s our way of doing things day to day.
