Shahil Tour & Travels

Shahil Tour & Travels sits out on Sonbarsa Road at the Dumri Chauaraha. It is one of those spots in Gorakhpur that always seems to have something going on, especially with all the trucks and cars passing through the junction. We have been running things from this little office for some time. The area around Dumri Chauaraha is quite lively, and you get to see all sorts of people moving through. I usually open up the shutters early because the morning air is a bit cooler before the dust starts kicking up from the road. Our space is functional, mostly just some chairs and a desk where we handle all the bookings. We don't spend money on big advertisements or polished brochures. Most people just find us because they live nearby or they were told about us by a neighbor. It’s a practical business. We deal with taxi bookings and local travel mostly. The road outside can be a bit bumpy, but we know the shortcuts around the city better than anyone. It’s just how we operate. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just keep working by the door where the light is better. It is a very local setup, and we prefer it that way. No one here wears a suit, and we talk to everyone like they are part of the family. That is just how life goes on Sonbarsa Road.
