Nepal Travel Information Centre

Nepal Travel Information Centre is on the ground floor of the Hotel Vardan building. We are right across from the railway station in Gorakhpur. It is a very loud and busy spot because of all the trains and people. Travelers often come in straight from the platform to ask how to get to the border or which bus to take to Kathmandu. We have some old maps and chairs where people can sit for a minute. The Vardan Restaurant is nearby so you can always smell food cooking while we are working. It’s not a fancy office with big glass windows. It’s just a practical place for information. We have lived in this city for a long time and we know the routes to Nepal pretty well. Sometimes we just chat with people about their trips. We don’t use any corporate talk or try to sell things too hard. People just need to know how to get where they are going. The traffic outside never really stops, and the dust from the road comes in sometimes. We just keep the fan going and stay at our desks. If you are looking for us, just head to the railway station and look for Hotel Vardan. We are right there on the ground floor. It’s a simple setup for anyone needing a bit of help with their travel plans. We stay here most of the day and talk to whoever walks in the door looking for directions or bus timings.
