Roji Masala

We have been here at Gol Chauraha for quite a long time now. Our shop is right near Raj Mata Garments, which everyone around Shaharbani knows. It is a busy spot and we are right in the middle of it all. We spend our days dealing with spices. It is what we do. The smell of turmeric and chili is always in the air around here. Sometimes it makes the neighbors sneeze but they are used to it by now. We started off with just a couple of small grinders and now we have a few more machines running in the back. It gets pretty noisy when everything is turned on at once. We don't have a big fancy storefront or anything like that. It is just a regular place where we work hard. My family has been doing this for a while and we just try to get the work done right. We pack everything into bags and keep them stacked up against the wall. The building is old and the floors are a bit uneven but it serves us well. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. They stop by for a chat while they wait for their spice mix. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything is filled and labeled correctly. It is a simple way of living. We are usually here from early morning until the sun goes down. It's home.
