Ramada

The Ramada here in Gorakhpur is located in Turkmanpur, right near the sub post office. If you know the area, it’s a pretty central spot and easy to find. We are a hotel, so our daily life revolves around people coming and going at all hours. We have a staff of local people who know the city well and can tell you where to find the best food or how to get to the station. The lobby is where we spend a lot of our time, greeting guests and checking them in. It’s a nice enough place, but we don't try to act like it’s a palace. We just want people to have a clean room and a decent place to stay while they are in town. Gorakhpur can be quite busy and dusty, so we spend a lot of time cleaning and making sure everything is in order. Near the sub post office, there’s always a bit of a crowd, but inside the hotel, we try to keep things a bit calmer. We handle everything from the laundry to the kitchen orders. It’s a lot of physical work and standing on our feet, but we’ve got a good team and we help each other out. We don't have any fancy talk about our values; we just try to be polite and get the rooms ready on time. It’s just a regular hotel run by regular people who work hard.
