Hotel Bobina

We are located on Nepal Road here in Gorakhpur. The traffic is the main thing you notice when you stand outside our front door. There are trucks and buses heading toward the border all day and night. It’s a loud street, but inside the rooms it’s a bit better. We’ve been operating here for quite some time now. The building is painted a shade of off-white that we try to keep clean, but the exhaust from the road makes it tough. Our rooms have the basic things like a bed and a small table for your things. We don't have those fancy carpets you see in big cities because they just trap too much dirt from the street. Instead, we have tiled floors that are easier to mop twice a day. The staff here is mostly local men who live nearby. We know the routines of the bus drivers and the traders who stop here. Sometimes we sit out front on plastic chairs during the slow hours of the afternoon when it’s too hot to do much else. We have a water cooler in the hallway that everyone uses. It’s a practical place for people who are on a long journey and just need to sleep for a few hours before hitting the road again. We don't do much advertising, people just see the sign and stop by when they’re feeling tired. It's just us here on Nepal Road, year after year, watching the world go by from our front door.
