Lalit Masala

Lalit Masala is located in the middle of the Sabji Mandi in Sujaganj. We are in the Laheari Tola area, very close to the Railway Station. You can hear the trains pulling in and out all day long. The market is always crowded with people buying vegetables and shouting prices. It is a very loud place to work, but you get used to it after a week or two. Our shop is small and the walls are stained with the colors of different spices. We have a lot of jars and bags piled up everywhere. It is a bit of a tight squeeze when more than two people are inside. The ground is often wet from the vegetable sellers washing their produce nearby. We have a small ceiling fan that wobbles a bit, but it keeps the air moving. We do not use any big machines, mostly just doing things by hand or with small grinders. People coming from the station often stop by to pick up a few things before they head home in the evening. We have been in this spot for a good while now. It is a lot of work and the market heat can be tough, but we like being where the action is. It is a simple business in a very busy part of the city. We keep a bucket of water near the door to wash the dust off our hands.
