F.D.C Soda Industry Private Limited

So we are based in Dhaurahara village, right there at Indradeo Singh’s place. F.D.C Soda Industry Private Limited is pretty much what it sounds like. We make soda. It’s a lot of bottles clinking and the sound of the carbonation machines going off all day long. Being in a village means we know everyone who walks by the gate and they usually wave. Sometimes the power goes out and everything stops, which is just part of living and working out here. We have to wait for it to come back on so we can finish the run for the day. It’s a practical business. We don't have a shiny office with glass walls. It’s mostly concrete and crates and people moving stuff around. My hands are usually wet from the washing area or sticky from something else. We handle the distribution ourselves mostly, getting the crates onto the trucks to head out to the nearby towns. It’s a lot of manual labor, lifting those heavy plastic crates filled with glass bottles. Indradeo’s place has become the hub for all this activity. We started small and we’re still just focusing on getting the bottles filled and capped properly. It’s repetitive work, sure, but it’s what we do. We don't spend money on fancy ads because we’d rather just make sure the soda is fizzy and the bottles are clean when they leave Dhaurahara. It is hard work but it keeps the lights on and the community supplied with drinks.
