About Bits Pilani – Building & Construction Material in Goa
I've been working at the K. K. Birla Goa Campus for Bits Pilani for a few years now. The campus sits on a hill and you can see the water from the upper floors of some buildings. It's a large place with winding paths and plenty of trees, which makes for a long walk if you're going from the gate to the offices in the back. There are always students walking around, usually looking a bit stressed when exams are coming up. We have labs, dorms, and a couple of spots to get tea or snacks scattered across the grounds. My job involves a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff that keeps the place running, like fixing schedules or handling student records. It’s not always easy because something is always breaking or needing attention, especially during the monsoon when the rain is heavy and everything gets damp. The campus has its own rhythm, getting very busy in the mornings and then quiet in the evenings. Most of the staff live nearby or right on the grounds, so it feels like a small community. We don't have a fancy corporate office; it's mostly just functional rooms with desks and stacks of paper. It’s a decent place to be, even if the walk up the hill gets tiring in the summer heat. We just focus on making sure everything is ready for the classes and that the students have what they need to get through the year without too much trouble.
