Richa Narvekar Architecture & Interior Design is based right here in Panjim, Goa. Our workspace is pretty simple, and we like to keep it that way so we can focus on the actual designs. Working in Goa means we get a lot of different kinds of requests, from people wanting to fix up old houses to those building something completely new. We spend a lot of time visiting sites, which usually involves a lot of driving around and checking on progress. Back at the office, it’s mostly about getting the drawings right and making sure we haven't missed any details. Architecture is a slow process and you can't really rush it if you want it to be done properly. We aren't into fancy presentations or polished sales pitches. We just talk to people like normal human beings and try to figure out what they want their space to feel like. It’s a lot of trial and error sometimes, and our desks are often a mess of samples, sketches, and notes. Panjim is a great place to work, even when it’s raining non-stop or getting too hot. We just keep plugging away at the designs and trying to make sure everything fits together. It is practical work that keeps us busy and we enjoy the challenge of making a project come together from start to finish. We don't overcomplicate things; we just draw, measure, and build as best as we know how.
