Down here in Barpeta, things move a little slower than in the big cities. Our place is located in Palangdihati, and the easiest way to find us is to look for the J.R.P. Girls School. We are right near there, so you can often hear the school bell ringing throughout the day. It’s a local spot where we handle our business every day. Barpeta has a certain feel to it, and we are glad to be a part of this community. We spend a lot of time outside or near the entrance, chatting with neighbors who walk by. The weather can be a bit unpredictable, so we are always keeping an eye on the sky. Our building isn't anything special to look at, just a practical structure that serves its purpose. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few of us who have lived around here most of our lives. We know the shortcuts through the streets and where to get the best snacks nearby. Most of the people who drop by are folks we've known for years. We don't put up big signs or do much to draw attention to ourselves. We just open up in the morning, do what needs to be done, and head home when the sun starts to go down. It’s a quiet life near the school, and that’s just the way we like it. We focus on the daily tasks and keeping things running smooth.
