Waseem General Store

Down here in Shaheed Nagar, things move pretty fast. My shop, Waseem General Store, is at D-478 in the Sahibabad area of Ghaziabad. It is a small place, honestly. You might walk past it if you are not looking, but we have a steady stream of regulars who know exactly where to find us. We keep the basics like flour, oil, spices, and the stuff kids like, like those little plastic toys and candies. The space is a bit cramped because I try to fit as much as I can on the shelves to help everyone out. Sometimes things fall over when I am trying to reach for something at the back, which is always a bit annoying. The street outside can get quite muddy when it rains, so I am always mopping the floor to keep the shop looking okay for the customers. It is just me and sometimes my nephew helping out when it gets busy. We do not have any big corporate goals. We just want to make sure the people living in the nearby houses can get what they need for their dinner without a hassle. I have lived in Ghaziabad all my life, so I know how it is here. You work hard and you try to keep the stock fresh. It is a lot of lifting heavy boxes, but it is a good way to stay connected to the community.
