Vishal Ice & Cold Storage

We are over at C-2 in the Lotus Apartment building on Samad Road. It might seem a bit unusual to have a cold storage setup in an apartment area, but it works for us. We handle a lot of the local storage needs for small vendors around this part of town. The space stays pretty cold all day, and you can definitely feel the drop in temperature the moment you step inside the unit. Samad Road is usually bustling with cars and people, so it can be a bit of a struggle to find parking when we have a delivery coming in. We spend a lot of time organizing the crates to make sure there's enough room for everyone’s stuff. It’s mostly manual work, moving things around and checking the thermostats every couple of hours. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us making sure nothing spoils. The neighbors in Lotus Apartment are used to seeing us coming and going at odd hours. We’ve had to fix the insulation a few times to keep the noise down for the residents living above. It’s a practical business, really. We just provide a place for people to keep their inventory from going bad in the heat. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do every day. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, which makes moving heavy loads quite a challenge. We just take it as it comes.
