Uttranchal General Store

We run Uttranchal General Store from Shop No. 5 on the Lower Ground Floor of Shakti Khand 3. It is right in the middle of Indirapuram. We started this shop because we wanted to have something of our own in the area. It is a bit of a tight space downstairs, but we have organized it so we can fit all the pulses, oils, and household goods. People usually come down to see us when they need something quick for the kitchen. Since we are in the basement level, it stays a bit cooler in the summer which is nice for us and the customers. We do not spend money on advertising or anything like that; people just find us by walking by. The stairs can be a bit steep, but everyone seems to manage fine. We keep the shop open all week because people in Indirapuram always seem to be busy and need things at odd hours. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit messy when we get a big delivery, but we sort it out eventually. We are not trying to be a big supermarket, just a local store where you can grab what you need. My brother and I take turns behind the counter throughout the day. We have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years while we have been here in Shakti Khand.
