The Ladders Play School

We opened this place in Sector 62, specifically at 30/6, because we saw kids needed a spot to just be kids. It's not a big fancy academy with a giant playground. It is just a converted house where children come to play and learn their ABCs. We have some plastic toys, a small area for running around, and we keep things pretty simple. My sister and I run the daily stuff ourselves. Some days are very loud and some are a bit more quiet. We've been here for a while now and the neighborhood knows us well. It isn't always perfect, sometimes a kid scrapes a knee or we run out of drawing paper, but we deal with it as it comes. Parents usually drop their kids off on the way to work in the morning. We make sure they eat their snacks and get a short nap in the afternoon. It’s just a normal play school for local families. We don't have big flashy billboards or anything like that. Just the wooden sign out front. Most folks find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor at the market. We like keeping it small like this. It helps us really get to know the families and the children. If you're walking past 30/6, you'll probably hear the songs we sing. We try to keep the place clean but with ten toddlers, there's always a stray block on the floor. That is just how it is around here for us.
