St Mary'S Christian Sr Sec School

Down in Shalimar Garden, things stay pretty lively throughout the week. Our school, St Mary's Christian Sr Sec School, sits right in this part of Sahibabad. It’s a senior secondary place, so we have the older students who are always worrying about their big exams and the younger ones running around. The walk from the main road isn't too long. Many of us have worked here for years and we know the shortcut through the back lanes of the garden area. The classrooms have high ceilings and those old-fashioned fans that hum all day. It’s not a quiet place, especially when the choir is practicing or when there’s a football game going on. We have the usual stuff like desks that have seen better days and blackboards that need a good wipe. People in 201005 know us well. We don't really have a fancy office with leather chairs. It’s more about the staff room where we drink tea and talk about the kids. The morning assembly is usually when you see everyone together before they vanish into their rooms. It gets a bit crowded at the gate when school lets out at two o'clock. You see the same snack vendors waiting outside every day. It’s just a normal school life here in Sahibabad. We keep things simple and just focus on getting through the syllabus every year without too much fuss or extra drama.
