B . D . M. Public School

Siyana is a small place, and our school is tucked away in the Shri Ram Vihar Colony. B . D . M. Public School serves the families living in this part of Bulandshahr. Most of the kids walk here or come by cycle from the nearby houses every morning. We have a modest building with a small courtyard where we all gather for assembly. The atmosphere is quite relaxed compared to the big schools you find in the cities. Our teachers are mostly local people who understand the background of the students. We focus on the textbooks and the exams, just like any other school in Uttar Pradesh. The rooms are plain but they get the job done for our daily needs. We don't have air conditioning or high-tech labs, just blackboards and benches. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just carry on with the windows open for light and air. It is a very local operation. We know most of the parents by name because we see them at the market or around the colony. Life moves at a slower pace here in Siyana. We try to make sure the kids learn their math and science properly so they have a chance at a good future. It is not a complicated setup. We just open the gates in the morning and wait for the kids to arrive. There is always someone around to sweep the floors or fix a desk.
