Sms Public School

We've been here in Khora Colony for a while now. It’s a busy spot in Noida and there’s always something happening at Sms Public School. Most mornings start early with kids coming in from the nearby lanes. Some walk, others get dropped off by their parents on bikes. The building isn't huge but we make it work for everyone. Teachers usually show up a bit before the first bell to get things ready in the classrooms. Sometimes the power goes out or the street gets really noisy, but that’s just how it is around here. We have different grades and the kids seem to enjoy the break times the most. It’s not a fancy place. It is just a regular school where people know each other by name. You often see parents waiting outside in the afternoons under the shade if they can find any. We try to keep the place tidy, though with so many feet running around, it is quite a task. Life at the school is pretty simple. We focus on the books and getting through the syllabus before the final exams come around. Khora is a crowded area, so having a space for the students feels important. We don’t have big speeches or special events every day. It is just daily lessons, marking notebooks, and making sure everyone is where they should be. It’s just us doing our bit here in this corner of Noida.
