Shri Hari Om Provision Store

If you walk down Teli Wali Gali in Ghaziabad, you’ll find us at number 73. Shri Hari Om Provision Store is a small place, but we try to keep it packed with all the essentials. This part of New Gate always has something going on, especially in the mornings when everyone is rushing around. The shop itself is tucked away in the lane, so it stays a bit cooler than the main road. I spend a lot of my time just checking the dates on packets and making sure we haven't run out of the basics like sugar or flour. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit muddy, which means more cleaning for us, but that's just part of having a shop in this area. We don’t really do any big advertising or anything like that. Most people find us because they live nearby or their parents used to shop here. The shelves are wooden and a bit old, but they hold everything just fine. It can get pretty cramped when three or four people are inside at once. My uncle started this place a long time ago and not much has changed since then. We just keep the doors open and wait for the regulars to come by for their weekly groceries. It's a steady way to spend the day in Ghaziabad, surrounded by familiar faces and the smell of spices.
