Shree Nangli Kirpa Aryan Provision Store

My shop is over at E-130/1 in the Lajpat Nagar area of Sahibabad. It is a long name for a small store, but everyone just knows it as the local place for their daily supplies. I started this work because I wanted to stay close to home in Ghaziabad. Every morning, I haul the shutters up and start arranging the fresh produce and snacks. We have stacks of pulses, bags of salt, and all kinds of spices in small packets. The floor is concrete and can get a bit dusty from the street outside. I spend a lot of time talking to the delivery drivers who bring the crates of soft drinks and biscuits. The shop is quite packed, so you have to be careful not to knock things over. I don’t use any fancy systems, just a simple calculator and a pen. Most of my customers live in the flats nearby, so we know each other's names and families. It’s a loud neighborhood with kids playing and scooters going by constantly. Sometimes I sit on a plastic chair outside when it's slow. Dealing with wholesalers is the toughest part of the job, trying to get the right prices. But mostly, it’s just about being here for when someone realizes they ran out of sugar or tea in the middle of cooking dinner. It is a long day, but it is my own business.
