Shraddha General Stores & Stationary Shop

Shraddha General Stores & Stationary Shop is tucked away in Loni Toli Mohalla. It’s a narrow part of town and our shop fits right in with the old buildings around it. I have been selling pencils and erasers to the local school kids for a long time now. The shelves are also filled with things like cooking oil, soap, and small packets of spices for the families who live in the mohalla. It is a bit cramped inside and if more than three people come in at once, someone has to wait outside on the step. I have a lot of old cardboard boxes stacked in the corner that I really should throw away, but I keep thinking I might need them for something. The stationary part of the shop is my favorite because I like the smell of new paper and the bright colors of the toy balls we hang from the ceiling. Sometimes the pens leak and I get ink on my fingers that stays there for days. People come in not just to buy things but to tell me about their day or complain about the heat. I sit near the door to catch whatever breeze comes down the street. It’s a simple business and I don't have any big plans for it. I just want to make sure I have enough stock so that when a neighbor needs something, I can find it for them.
