Sharma Tool Center

If you wander down Abdul Aziz Road in Karol Bagh, you’ll find us at Plot No 10172. We are right near Seth Mukand Lal Inter College, so it's a busy spot with students and shoppers everywhere. Sharma Tool Center is a small place, packed floor to ceiling with all sorts of tools and hardware. It’s hard to move around sometimes because we have so much stock squeezed into the shelves. We’ve been in Karol Bagh for a long time, and the street has changed a lot, but our shop stays mostly the same. It is noisy outside with the traffic and the street vendors, but inside we just focus on what the customer needs. Whether it is a specific wrench or a power drill, we usually have it buried somewhere in the back. We don't use any high-tech inventory systems; we just know where things are from memory. It’s a bit of a maze, really. Sometimes the lights flicker when the grid is overloaded, but we keep a torch handy. We talk to a lot of different people every day, from builders to guys just trying to fix a leak at home. We don't have a fancy display window or anything like that. It’s just a practical shop for people who need tools. We open early and stay until the street gets quiet at night. It is a cramped space, but it works for us and our customers.
