You can find Bhagwati Machinery Store on Patel Marg, specifically near Sadhna Mandir and right across from the Telephone Exchange. It’s a bit of a landmark-heavy spot, which makes it easy to tell people where we are. The store itself is full of all sorts of machinery and parts. It’s the kind of place where things are a bit dusty and the air smells like metal and oil. We spend most of our time helping people find a very specific bolt or a particular tool they need for a job. It’s not a high-tech store with digital displays. It’s more about the physical items on the shelves. Sometimes we have to dig through the back of the store to find what someone is looking for. The sound of the bells from the mandir and the activity from the exchange keep the day moving along. We usually have a few regulars who drop by just to chat for a minute while they pick up their supplies. It’s a small operation, just a couple of us working the counter and managing the stock.
