Sharma Departmental

Our shop, Sharma Departmental, is located at Shop No-C-42G-8 in Shalimar Garden Extension 2. Being near the HDFC Bank means there are always people walking by, so we stay pretty busy throughout the day. We started this place because we saw that people in this part of Ghaziabad needed a reliable spot for their monthly groceries. It’s not a huge supermarket, but we try to stock most of the things a kitchen needs. From different kinds of rice to cleaning supplies, we have it all packed into our shelves. Sometimes the delivery guys arrive all at once and the front of the shop gets blocked with crates, which is a bit of a mess to clear up. We work hard to keep everything organized, though it’s a constant battle. My family helps out a lot with the daily chores here. We know which neighbor prefers which brand of tea, and we try to keep that in mind when ordering. The winters here can get quite chilly, so we sell a lot more coffee and ginger then. In the summer, the fridge is always full of cold drinks. We don’t do any big advertising or anything like that. Word of mouth from the people living in the nearby apartments is how we keep going. It’s just a straightforward departmental store where you can get what you need without a fuss. We like being part of the Shalimar Garden community and seeing the familiar faces every day.
