Shambhu Dayal College

You’ll find Shambhu Dayal College right on the busy GT Road. It’s hard to miss because we are directly in front of the MMG Hospital. The street is always crowded with people coming and going from the hospital or heading towards the main market. Our building has been at 79 GT Road for quite a while now. It’s an old place with a lot of history in these walls. You can hear the horns from the buses and cars all day long, but inside the classrooms, it gets a bit quieter. Students are always hanging around the front gate or sitting on the steps during their breaks. The atmosphere is just what you'd expect from a local college in the middle of a noisy city. We have different departments, and the corridors are usually full of posters for various events or exams coming up. It’s a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. The staff rooms are tucked away in the back where it’s a little cooler. We don't have any of those modern glass buildings, just solid brick and concrete. Some of the windows don't close perfectly, but it lets the breeze in. It’s a place where people come to get their degrees and move on with their lives. Nothing too fancy about it, just a school doing its thing. We have some old trees in the courtyard that provide a bit of shade when the sun is out during the summer months.
