Shalini'S Indian Fashions

My shop is on the second floor over at J-53 in Patel Nagar-1. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but it’s where we do everything. We’ve been in Patel Nagar for quite a bit now. It’s a busy part of town and there’s always something happening on the street below. We deal with all kinds of Indian fashions. It’s mostly just me and a couple of helpers. We don't have a big sign or a glass front like the stores in the big shopping districts. It’s a practical space. We keep the racks full and try to stay on top of the orders. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped with all the fabric around, but we make it work. It's an honest living. People from the neighborhood know where to find us. We don't spend money on marketing because we'd rather just focus on the clothes. The second-floor spot is quiet enough that we can get work done without too many distractions. We’ve got a lot of different pieces tucked away. It’s not a fancy boutique, just a place where we work hard and keep things moving. We’ve had some good years here. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s just how it goes when you’re busy. We just keep our heads down and keep the shop running as best as we can. It’s just a regular local business and we like being part of the community here.
