Shabd Pre School

Shabd Pre School is at Plot Number 12 in Sector 10 A of Vasundhara, Ghaziabad. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of houses and cars everywhere. Our gate is right there on the street, and in the mornings, it’s a bit of a mess with parents dropping off their little ones. The building is painted in bright colors, though the sun has faded some of the paint over the years. We have a small play area inside with some plastic slides and a sandbox that always seems to get sand on the floor. The teachers spend most of the day chasing after toddlers and making sure nobody falls. It’s a noisy place, full of crying and laughing all at once. We keep the snacks in a big cupboard in the back, and there is always a smell of crayons and floor cleaner in the air. The desks are small, just right for the kids, and we have their drawings taped all over the walls. Some of the tape is peeling off, but it doesn't matter much. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that; just a desk near the entrance where we keep the registers. By two o’clock, the kids are gone and the rooms are finally silent, except for the sound of the ceiling fans humming. It’s a long day, but we do it all again tomorrow.
