Sense Research Foundation

Our place is at 11/1 in the Anand Industrial Area of Ghaziabad. It is a bit of an odd spot for something called Sense Research Foundation. We are surrounded by factories and workshops. But it works for us. We have been in this building for a while now. It is a simple grey structure with a few rooms and a lot of books and papers. We spend most of our time looking into things and writing stuff down on pads. It is not as exciting as people might think. There is a lot of sitting and thinking involved. The industrial area is always buzzing with the sound of heavy machines. It can be a bit distracting when you are trying to focus. We usually get our lunch from the local food stall down the road. The tea there is pretty decent. We are not a big foundation with lots of funding or donors. We just do our bit. Sometimes the roof leaks a little when it rains heavily in August. We have to move the desks around to keep the papers dry. It is just a few of us here. We do not have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you will probably find us hunched over our desks. Ghaziabad is a tough city but it has its own rhythm. We fit in here even if what we do is a bit different from the neighboring workshops.
