Karina Weara

Karina Weara is located on the first floor of D-44 in Sector-11. To get to us, you just walk up the stairs and you’ll see our space. It’s usually full of different fabrics and rolls of cloth piled up in the corners. We’ve got several sewing machines set up, and there’s almost always the sound of them running in the background. It’s a busy workspace where we spend our time cutting patterns and putting garments together. The light from the windows is pretty good in the mornings, which helps with the stitching. We don't have a fancy showroom with mannequins in the window; it's more of a production spot where the real work happens. There are threads all over the floor by the end of the day, and we have to sweep it out every evening. We keep a small table for tea and snacks in the back, but most of the time we’re at the workstations. It’s a small team here, so we all know each other well and just get on with the tasks. Sector-11 is a good area to be in, and being on the first floor keeps us a little bit away from the street noise. It’s a simple, hardworking environment where we focus on making clothes that people can actually wear every day without any drama.
