Sanju General Store

Sanju General Store is located at number 34 in the Kavi Nagar area of Ghaziabad. It’s a residential part of town, so we see a lot of the same people every single day. We open up pretty early so that people can get what they need before they head off to work or take their kids to school. The shop is mostly full of everyday things like toothpaste, tea leaves, and packs of snacks. We try to keep things where people can see them, but it’s a lot of stuff in a relatively small area. The walls have some old shelves that we’ve added to over time. We don't have a fancy checkout system; we just use a simple calculator and a cash box. The floor is just plain stone and we sweep it out every morning and evening. It’s a bit of a quiet life compared to the main city, but Kavi Nagar has its own pace. Sometimes we just sit on the stools near the front and watch the cars go by when things aren't too busy. We don't do anything special for marketing. We just make sure we have the things people ask for most often. It’s a practical business and we like being part of the daily routine for the families who live on this street. It feels like a small village sometimes because everyone stops to chat.
