Sameer General Store

Sameer General Store is tucked away in Haqeem Ji Wala Mohalla, over in Gram Nahal, Ghaziabad. Being in a mohalla means we are right in the heart of where people live. Our shop is where neighbors meet up while buying their daily essentials. We sell flour, pulses, spices, and things like light bulbs or batteries. The shop isn't very large, so we have to use every bit of wall space to hang packets of chips and shampoo. It’s a family-run business, so you’ll usually see one of us sitting on the stool near the entrance. We know the history of the area and the people who stay here. Sometimes we give credit to the regulars when they’re short on cash until the end of the month, as that’s just how it works in a close-knit place. The building is old but sturdy. We don't have a big neon sign, just a hand-painted one that’s faded a bit over the years. It’s quiet in the afternoons when everyone is resting, but it gets really busy in the evenings when people are heading home from work. We try to keep the place clean, but with all the goods coming in and out, there's always a bit of cardboard or plastic lying around. It’s just a normal, hardworking shop serving the local people here in Gram Nahal. We hope to stay here for many more years to come.
