Sakumbhari Exports Private Limited

Our place is at D-113, Street No. 4 in Gurunanak Pura, which is in Modinagar. This is part of the Ghaziabad district in Uttar Pradesh. The pincode is 201204. It’s a bit of a residential street, so you’ll see neighbors drying clothes or kids playing while we are trying to load up goods. Sakumbhari Exports is the name on the small board outside. We share the space with the Chattopadhyay family’s care-of address. The office is basically a ground-floor room that we’ve filled with filing cabinets and a couple of computers. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of samples lying around. Modinagar is known for its sugar and textiles, so being here makes sense for what we do. The street is narrow, so big trucks can’t really come right to the door; we have to use smaller carts to move things to the main road. It’s a lot of physical work sometimes. We don't have a HR department or anything like that. If there's a problem, we just talk it out over some chai. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with the export orders to worry about that. We focus on the work and making sure the documents are correct so there are no delays at the customs office. It is a small-scale operation, but we stay busy throughout the year. Sometimes it is tough to manage everything from such a tight space but we make it work.
