Saanchi Sarees

Location is Wright Ganj Town Hall. We've been here for some time now. Saanchi Sarees is just a regular shop where we keep a lot of different clothes for women. Every morning we open up the shutters and try to get things organized, but the stacks usually get messy by noon when people start coming in. It's not a very big place at No. 144-A, so we have to use every bit of shelf space we have. Most days it's just about showing piece after piece until someone finds what they like. The Town Hall area gets really busy, especially during the wedding months when everyone is out looking for something to wear. We don't have fancy air conditioning or anything, just a few fans that keep the air moving. My cousin helps me out with the heavy lifting and sorting the stock that comes in from the suppliers. Sometimes the light goes out and we just sit there talking to the neighbors until it comes back on. It is a simple life here in Wright Ganj. We try to keep things honest and just do our work day by day. If you are walking around the Town Hall area, you will see our sign. It’s a bit faded now but still there. We spend a lot of time just folding fabric back up because people like to feel everything before they buy it. It’s just how things go in this business.
