The school building has a plain exterior and a heavy gate that we open up every morning. Inside, the space is divided into different classrooms with simple partitions and wooden doors. The floors are made of stone and can be quite cold in the winter months, so everyone wears thick socks. We have a collection of books in the corner of one room and some maps pinned to the walls. The street outside is usually busy with people walking to the local market or heading to the bus stop. We get a lot of noise from the surrounding area, but once you are inside, it feels a bit more secluded. There is a small area for the staff to have their lunch and talk about the day's events. We don't have a big playground, but we make use of the space we have. The desks are a bit scratched and the chairs aren't the most comfortable, but they serve their purpose. It is a straightforward place that doesn't try to be anything it isn't. We have been here in Sector 3 for a long time and know the local rhythm well. Each day starts early and ends when the sun goes down.
