S M Mart

Our shop, S M Mart, is tucked away in Vasundhra at LG-436/1-2. It’s not a huge supermarket, just a local mart where we try to keep the basics that people in the neighborhood need. We spend most of our time stocking shelves and making sure the milk is fresh. The space is a bit small, so when we get a big delivery, there are boxes everywhere for a few hours until we can get it all put away. It can be a bit chaotic, but that’s just how it is when you’re running a small place. We know most of the people who come in by their first names, or at least we recognize their faces. We don't have a big staff, so if you come in, you’re usually talking to the owners directly. We don't have any fancy music playing or bright neon lights. It is just a plain shop with regular shelves and a counter that has seen better days. Sometimes the billing machine acts up and we have to do things the old-fashioned way for a bit. We stay open pretty late because we know people often forget things and need a place nearby to grab a quick snack or some soap. We don't do any big advertising. People just know we are here from walking by. It’s a lot of work standing on our feet all day, but we like being part of the community here in Vasundhra.
