Refresso Coffee Shop

Out at Plot No. 24 and 25 in the Pmt Utility Complex, you’ll find Refresso Coffee Shop. Loni can be a bit quiet or really busy depending on the hour, and we are right in the middle of it. We set this place up because people working in the utility complex needed a spot to sit for a minute. It’s not one of those big chain shops with matching furniture. We have some mismatched chairs and a counter that we wipe down a hundred times a day. We make coffee, mostly the basic stuff that people like when they are on a break. Sometimes the milk delivery is late or the power goes out, but we just keep going. It’s mostly just us and a few regulars who come in every single morning. We know their names and how they like their drink. The complex is a practical place, so our shop is practical too. We don't have a big menu with words nobody can pronounce. Just hot coffee and maybe a few snacks if we have them ready. It feels like home to us even when it’s messy. We spend a lot of time cleaning the espresso machine and sweeping the floor. It is just a small business trying to do things okay. Most days are good, even when it rains and everyone crowds inside to stay dry. The sink sometimes leaks a little bit, but we fixed it with some tape for now.
