About Ratan Singh – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in Ghaziabad
We are located at A-11 in Gagan Enclave. It’s a residential area mostly, so it’s a bit quieter than the main roads. My office is just a small room where I keep all the files and the computer. Most mornings start with a lot of phone calls and checking the list of things to do for the day. Being in an enclave means you know the neighbors and the guards at the gate. Sometimes the delivery guys get lost because the numbering of the houses here is a bit confusing. I have to step out and wave them down. There isn’t much space for storage, so everything is piled up a bit high on the shelves. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I usually have my lunch while sitting at the desk because there’s always something coming up. It’s just me and a couple of others handling the work. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just the address. People usually find us by word of mouth or if they live nearby. In the evenings, the kids play cricket in the lane outside, and it gets a bit noisy, but I don't mind it. It feels like home even though it's where I work. It’s a simple setup and we just try to get through the work without too much trouble. Sometimes we run out of printer ink at the worst moments and have to run to the corner store.
