Rajeev Electrical & Home Appliances is tucked away in Vijay Nagar at G 124, Sector 12. If you walk down this street, you'll see a lot of shops, but we’ve got the one with the fans and lightbulbs hanging near the entrance. I’ve been working with wires and switches for a long time. The shop is usually a bit cluttered with boxes of irons, mixers, and other stuff people use at home. In the summer, everyone is asking about table fans, and in the winter, it’s all about the geysers and heaters. I spend most of my day sitting on a wooden stool near the door. It gets dusty in Sector 12, so I’m always wiping down the glass shelves. People come in with broken toasters or mixers that stopped spinning, and I take a look when I have a moment. It’s a practical kind of place. There is no air conditioning here, just a big fan that rattles a bit. We know the regulars by name since they’ve been coming to this part of Vijay Nagar for years. Sometimes we run out of a specific fuse or a certain type of bulb, and I have to tell people to come back the next day. It’s just how a small shop runs. We don't have a fancy display, just the things people actually need for their houses. The back of the shop is full of boxes and old spare parts that might come in handy one day.
