I’ve been running Raj Kumar Luggage at E-185 Sector-9 for quite some time. The shop is on Vijay Kumar Thana Mawai Road, and it’s a pretty busy area with lots of traffic going past. I spend most of my day surrounded by suitcases, bags, and backpacks of all different sizes. Some people come in looking for something brand new for a wedding or a big trip, while others bring in their old bags because a zipper broke or a wheel fell off. I do the repairs right here in the shop when I have a spare moment. It’s a lot of manual work, pulling at tough fabric and fixing locks. The space is a bit cramped because I try to keep a lot of stock on hand so people have choices. I remember when I first opened, I didn't have much, but slowly I filled the shelves. My hands get pretty tired by the evening from working with the tools and moving the heavy trunks around. The dust from the road comes in sometimes, so I’m always wiping things down to keep them looking okay. It’s just a regular local shop where I know most of the people who walk in. I don’t have a website or anything like that, just the sign out front and the work I do every day. If you need a bag fixed or a new one for traveling, this is where I’ll be. It's been my life for years now.
