Pyarelal Madanlal

Pyarelal Madanlal is the name of our place, and we are located right by the Chaupla Chopla Mandir. It’s an old part of the city, and the temple brings a lot of foot traffic past our door every single day. We’ve been here for a very long time, through all the changes in the neighborhood. You can hear the temple bells from inside the shop, which is a nice way to spend the day. We don't have a big sign or anything modern. Most people just know us by the name and our location near the Mandir. The building itself is quite old, with thick walls and a lot of history. We don't really use computers for everything; we still write things down in ledgers because that's how we learned to do it. It’s a small operation, just a couple of us working the counter and making sure the customers get what they came for. We know the families around here, and we’ve seen their kids grow up. It’s not a fancy business with a big strategy. We just open up in the morning, sweep the front, and wait for the regulars to stop by. Sometimes it gets really crowded during festival times because of the temple next door. It’s a bit chaotic then, but we enjoy the energy of the crowd. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, year after year, right here at Chaupla.
