Poona General Stores in Rohini. We have been in Office No B 2/104 for some time now. It’s a busy spot in Sector 17. Most days start early with the shutter going up. We stock the usual things people need for their homes. Bags of rice, different types of tea, and snacks for the kids. It’s not a fancy place, just shelves full of boxes and jars. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow. The floor needs a sweep every hour because of the dust from the street. We know most people around here by their faces even if we don't know all their names. It gets hot in the afternoons but the fan keeps things moving. We just try to keep enough stock so people don’t have to go far. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the traffic. Other days everyone comes at once and it gets a bit crowded. We have been here long enough that the walls could use some paint, but there is never a good time to stop and do it. It’s just how things go. We keep the ledger books on the small desk in the corner. It’s mostly regular work and keeping things organized so we can find what someone is looking for. It’s a simple setup and we are used to the noise from the neighbors.
